The movie was pretty disappointing & underwhelming as a whole honestly. I don't know where to start but even the original Halloween II and Rob Zombie's Halloween (the first one) were better than this. There were a lot of homage and easter eggs linked to the original but it just didn't do it for me; it's like there was no originality on the development table that they overdid the tributes here to actually stand as a sequel. It's 2018 and the writers somehow treat this movie like were still 40 years back, acting as if mobile phones don't exist nowadays to call for help. Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie) and Jibrail Nantambu (Julian, the little kid) were the only entertaining characters out there in the whole film; that's not something you'd want to hear but whatever. Hopefully the follow up sequel manages to be a lot more original, intimidating, and edgy (this movie seriously lacked much of these factors). Average is the only word to describe this film honestly.
