The action and the cinematography are amazing! However, the addition of the witch (although great acting) story line and the poorly made CGI phoenix (looking more like a kite) are unnecessary extras. I also wish the make-up in the match-making scene would be more pleasing to the eyes and show off how beautiful Liu Yifei really is. All the extras may be the effort to please the western audience, so there should be no surprise about the box office disappointment in China.
