So the top review I see here is stating that audiences who have been "spoon fed" by action movies fail to grasp how the film's complexity is an "asset", that the inaudible dialogue is dependent on the sound system of the theater, and that the convoluted concepts of time travel science are okay because we are confident that the characters understand it...Characters who, mind you, create no emotional bond with the audience leaving me to wonder why I would feel confident in their understanding of anything or even care about them.
This movie is a relentless drudge through exposition dialogue accented by masturbatory, phantasmagoric action sequences that serve only as monuments to the ego of a powerful Hollywood director.
You understand while watching it that your head is being patted by the god-hand of Nolan, and he's saying "It's okay if you don't like this movie, it just means you're not on my level of intelligence. You may be more interested in Marvel movies that spoon feed you your action." No. The deal with this movie, much like the people who will condescendingly explain to you why you're actually missing the point, is that intelligence does not make up for lack of character and emotional connection.
