A beautiful heart wrenching documentary. I followed each person's story with admiration and sorrow and an inchoate prayer for all to be well with them. Perhaps the hardest was Ari's as he bore witness to sexual abuse, a witness as much on behalf of others as himself. So young, and in his way, a prophetic voice.
But what struck me too was the joy and beauty in the reform synagogue service and a shabbat service full of songs... There is a community, gentler at the edges, but also rooted in time... I would want to be a part of that.
Not Jewish myself, sending you blessings, Ari, Etty, Lazar and your friends.
