I saw lots of negative reviews about this game, I watched some videos on youtube and I was amazed by the graphics. I got curious, I bought this game, played for a few hours and I love this game. This review is based on my opinion as a hack and slash RPG lover. How they design the city, the interaction of NPCs... how they move around are better than most hack and slash game. The world in this game feels more alive! (In other top down hack and slash game the NPCs are just standing at their spot doing nothing staring at a blank space.) In Wolcen you can customize your character's appearance, back then in the alpha stage they have more choices but at the last release version they remove it...too bad.. but still they have character customization, you can change the hairstyle, face, skin tone, eye color... But still this is small stuff that most hack and slash rpg doesn't have. I played as a summoner build, and I am amazed how our minions can change appearance as we got the skill level up, you can turn a bulky golem to a slim astral looking sorcerer. Many people will say Wolcen sucks compared to diablo, grim dawn, POE or whatever... but still in my opinion, Wolcen is better than those games in a some aspects too.
