I came to America in 1969 as an architecture student at the Univ of Minnesota, In my first semester the design professor invited a Christian pastor to give a rambling talk about Christianity, he pronounced that the New Nun was fun, I did not go to his Church 'The Newman Center' though it was only 3 blocks from the School of Architecture. 1 week later the professor in front of the entire class pronounced that somebody should take me to Church, A Classmate took to the Newman Center where there was a lot of swaying and dancing accompanied by the music'Dawning of the Age of Aquarius'. there was no religious sermon I did not go there again.
About myself my father was an admirer of the French Existentialist Philosophers, Most Muslims would consider me to be a Bad Muslim, I do not pray 5 times every day or go to the mosque every Friday, I do believe in a Good and Just God.and believe that God knows what is Mans Heart, I also believe that God is not Vain and will not judge us on the basis of whether I or any Man Worships him in the context of adherence to any Religion, In the Quran God has sent Numerous Prophets and o Messengers not every one of them founded a religion, however theyb caused the splintering of all religions, God loves all men equally not just Christian Jews and or Muslims. Since the vast majority of people do adhere to the religion they are born into, it might be said that God has doomed the vast majority of Men based on the religion they are born into. Christian believe that all Muslims are going to Hell and likewise Muslims believe that most Christian are going to hell.
Does this sound like a circular firing squad to you, it does to me, If you do not love me, that is your decision, I do not have the duty to change your belief, This post could go on forever, I will be speaking past you and you past me. At the end your dislike for me will be hardened. I believe a Good and Just God can cut through hardened Approaches and come to a Just Solution.
Sincerely
Syed Parvez
