I love the fact that it was not intentionally (as a whole at least) a take on the original, but all in all the storyline, the script and the acting left much to be desired. I did notice that in more than a few places they took inspiration from earlier movies but that they weren't hamfisted about it is decent because people outside of me and others like me probably wouldn't notice them. I did enjoy (in a manner at least) the inclusion of The Skull Cowboy this time around, but there were more than a few unnecessary shots and lines that dragged it down from what it could've been. What truly pains me to say is that literally the best thing about the movie in total... was Enya!!! Honestly, best case scenario, it was almost (and that's being seriously generous) as good as "City of Angels".

Most of the early reviews saw it as the rebranding of horror that "Scream" was 20 or so years ago.. but IT REALLY WAS NOT. The overbearing camp factor dulls any possibility of enjoyment for me (outside of Rick Hoffman of course- you gotta like that guy no matter who he's playing). Predictable and cliche- not just to tear this movie down but most modern horror right about now is easy to read for me- b-movie fare best case scenario. Could've been worse but I hoped for better.

I enjoyed the way they introduced the idea of Multiversal imbalance and Multiverse figures seeking to repattern and reform separate universes to personally beneficial means. It's understandable that many viewers, regulars and newer, would have liked to see Wanda's metamorphosis more well explained but I'm not certain that is necessary. The main gripe is that at the drop of a hat she went from selfless hero to a grotesque butcher but it's not that simple. Think about it: since her MCU introduction to her earlier appearances in comics she's pretty much always been plagued with something of a troubled mindset, or even moreso mind. So it really wouldn't've taken much to initialize a change of that degree. The way they handled their outsiders motives on both sides was warranted given certain circumstances. And I think what is the most wasted (re) addition to the ever growing catalogue of players was Abomination's publicized March against Wong seeing it as a waste of a high tier threat of a character when that could've been merely a showcase of Wong's yet to be truly experienced level of power and skill as the current Sorcerer Supreme.

The movie is an up close and personal relationship centered tet a tet that is emotionally gripping, soothing and brutally honest simultaneously.
