As a Hardcore Resident evil from day one, having played every single game and beaten every one, I can honestly say this movie is a hot knife to the backs of true resident evil fans. When this was first revealed and praised as being a faithful reboot of the franchise I was more then excited. But alas it was not to be. This movie is a steamy hot piece of click bait trash, a money grab and Capcom should boycott this garbage. And don’t get me wrong, they did something’s right, but the characters(literally the most important part of any franchise)were nowhere close to being accurate representations of themselves it’s criminal. They bundled up aspects of so many resident evil games into one jumbled up mess it’s jarring to the senses and blatantly disrespectful. They should have focused on the mansion incident, with focus on building Chris, Jill, Wesker, and Barry. Speaking of Barry, where the hell was he? This movie could have been amazing. But again they want to appeal to the brainless masses who haven’t a clue about the franchise. This is a sad day.. to take a quote from RE7 “Your not! Part of the family Son(RE welcome to Raccon City)!”
