All the other reviews hit the nail on the head - very cool concept but extremely poor execution. So not much I can add. However, I have to point out the candles burning underwater in the end scenes. The CANDLES burning.... UNDER WATER. Tbh, those candles epitomize the complete lack of logic and the assinine plot of this movie. Also... Any reason at all behind the red bubbles scene? Just, why?

2.9 stars on here but a 98% on rotten tomatoes? What's going on here? Kravitz was wonderful but that's all I can say for this film. Weak plot and weaker end scene. I was actually laughing for the nail gun part. Did the 'bad guys' forget they had guns?

I may be in the minority here but I loved this movie and the ending. I think a lot of the poor reviews are people triggered by the fraud/con artistry of the elderly but... That's the whole premise. You are supposed to feel triggered as these are very unlikeable people doing awful things. Set your morals aside and just enjoy the ride. Karma comes around eventually and boy is it fulfilling. This movie made me feel things - and that's a win. Even if those 'things' I felt were absolute disgust with the main character and sadness for her "wards". I think also part of the issue people are having is that this is categorized as 'comedy' which it is not. This is more dark suspense. Side note: While this movie was fictitious, people loved The Wolf of Wall Street. A TRUE story about a man that ripped off old people's retirements in order to buy boats and live a lavish drug-fueled life. If you enjoyed that, maybe ask yourself what is so different here? You didn't have to see the sad faces of the old people in that one? Read the real story about Jordan Belfort and direct your anger at someone who is a living breathing (shockingly no longer incarcerated) person.

I wanted so badly to like this. The cast... My goodness. Emily Browning, Mary Louise Parker, Lily Rabe, Chloë Sevigny, Ad-rock, Schwartzman. Come on. What a lineup. But even they couldn't save this movie. All I saw were a bunch of unhappy women wondering about their husband's attention to them and if said husbands were cheating.... or unhappy women wishing they had men, as they are just sooo unhappy being alone. As a bonus, you also get to watch unhappy men seeking validation and attention that apparently their successful and beautiful wives can't provide. All this displayed through boring and unrealistic dialog and actions. You're going to line up a cast of badass women and then place them in these surface level roles? Really? An absolute waste. This movie wanted to be profound and intertwined but missed both of those goals by a mile. It really is a shame.

Just... Bad. Nothing made sense. Subplots that added nothing to the show. Cliche characters. The only way I made it through it was to actively decide I wouldn't think about trying to connect any dots.
