This a nice movie. Humorous in a subtle way. Brings out the basic liberal nature of humans, (as exemplified a husband and wife pair towards the end) .And it is a love story too, a very 'halal' love story of the above mentioned pair.
This movie brings to light the sort of leftist and socially conscious ideas propagated by some Muslim groups, which have become part of the Kerala reality for the past few decades or so. It must be the first time that this social reality has become a theme in a movie. But the movie as such does not make any overt political statement.
All the characters in the movie come out as lovable; they even make compromises in their religious orthodoxy at times.
Most of the characters are Muslims. But some of the characters are not Muslims in the real sense of the word. The characters played by Joju George and Parvati Thiruvothu are not practising Muslims, by their behaviour and attitudes. That makes the movie more interesting.
This movie has a liberal attitude. On the whole, it is a light hearted, nice movie with an original theme.
