Disappointment. After such praise from readers and seeing comparison on LoTR and GoT, I thought I was in for a treat. But oh boy.....our MC seems to constructed very weirdly for an assassin. On one hand she is considered the best assassin in the world(a fact which is hammered in so many times it gets annoying). But her obsession with luxury seems out of character. She lets her enemies live sometimes, gets into fights becausr she is frustrated. Author made a mess of the MC's character. The author seems to romanticise assassins as people who kill bad guys and help good ones. Assassins r not Robin hood damn it. Relation dynamics between characters swings 180 degrees in a matter of pages. The story is not fast paced. Its rushed and feels incomplete. The writing feels lacking in substance.
