Entertaining, and an intelligent, if bloated, follow-on to the previous Matrix movies. While it had a lot going on, and some great action sequences, I came away wondering if it was at all necessary. It reminded me of the return to the Jason Bourne universe, where once he had his memory back, it was kinda pointless returning to it.
But Resurrections has some solid narrative to accompany the action, though too much explanatory dialogue gets wearisome, and certainly slows the movie down. And that’s a pity, because the first 30 minutes were excellent.
