The Shack sheds light on how God can heal the effects of a tragic childhood, relationships with children or spouse. It begins with the alcoholic father abusing the mother, and the son so fed up with his father that the father doesn't survive. The story illustrates why we need a Savior, and how God can resolve terrible things when we leave this veil of tears. I give it 5 stars for the important insights I gained from the movie. It was well worth the time and cost.
