As with other reviewers I found this romance not only offensive in how dominating he is over her, but just plain boring and cliche fantasy. Rich guy sweeps supposedly smart and supposedly special girl off her feet and she leaves all her friends and relatives behind for him. His being a vampire does not make it better or more interesting either. So boring with so little action I couldn't finish. The mystery of the enchanted book and why everyone is after it, is the best part and they constantly leave it behind for a very stupid romance. I only tried reading it because of the terrific first episode of the TV series. Kudos to the screen writers for doing a much better job.
