This is a good album. It's slightly different to Chevelle's previous albums, so the focus isn't AS much on their melodic rock sound. That being said, there are still some beautiful melodic songs such as "Endlessly" and "Remember When", that Chevelle have become known for. The intro of this album starts out with a badass instrumental riff, and continues with hard rock bangers such as "So Long, Mother Earth", "Self-Destructor" and "Piistol Star", as well as "Mars Simula" which though imo, Petes vocals can get slightly annoying. Also I'd like to mention the production quality, I'm not sure if it was intentional but this whole record seems to have a "scratchy" sound to it, so do with that what you will. I like the fact however that they're trying new things and evolving as a band. Overall a good album that any Chevelle fan would enjoy. 4/5.
