Roy is one of those rare movies that somehow does not fit into every person's bandwidth. For me this movie is unusually special. It has a certain kind of depth which kicks in a nostalgia that never existed in your memory but yet leaves your thoughts to linger on. Time and again I watch this movie and never get enough of it. A kind of longing which makes me empathize with Kabir and at times impersonate Roy.
This is not a movie I'd enjoy watching in a theatre, but rather in a personal space without interruption.
From the script to the songs, from the cinematography and to the screen play especially nesting of story inside another, this is a rare master piece, rather a unique outlier.
Thanks to Team Roy. I'd relish this movie for years to come.
