The film was beautifully shot, and the message, “we shouldn’t take what we have for granted” is important. This would have been a 5 star rating had the violent ending been acceptable to me instead of sickening. Even so, I don’t regret watching it. The film could have simply hit a nerve in my case; the abstract idea of what was going on at the end of the movie troubled me. The rest of the film (before the last scene) was disturbing, but artfully so. If you’re going to watch it, be warned: it is difficult to watch, and potentially physically revolting.
