Not worth the hype. That said, the movie is super funny, has Logan back into MCU (yippee), wonderful music and cinematography and lots and lots and lots of fan service. But what puts the film down is the paper thin story and no stakes. You can cruise along well with the runtime because it’s mindless fun with super awesome action sequences and fun banter between D and W, but there’s something missing in the movie that would want me to come back and rewatch it .

Quite impressed how they could manage to hold the audiences with the minimalist setting. More than halfway through the movie, I realised my palms kept getting sweaty. I have a thing with heights and I realised this film brought that fear back. Sweaty palms, while watching a movie has never ever happened. It's not a masterpiece but definitely hooks you till the end. Watch it!

As Randy Meeks said in Scream 2, "Carnage-Candy", That's exactly what this new Scream movie is; the one every fan deserves. It has been a decade we witnessed the last Scream movie and I was amused to see that ‘Radio Silence’ had reins this time. After Craven, couldn’t think of another better filmmaker(s) to direct this franchise. The movie is funny, well-acted, brilliantly shot, right amount of easter eggs , brutal kills, bold choices, graphic and nailed the whole meta and tongue-in-cheek humour. I was impressed how the makers seamlessly achieved the transition and shift of focus from legacy characters to the new ones. Sid, Gale and Dewey never once seemed shoe-horned. And that third act at Stu Macher’s house. That’s all I am gonna say. The finale is crazy and keeps the suspense going. Easily my favourite after the first one. I guess studio and makers of the new Matrix should take cues from this movie and crew on how to handle a requel. All hail, the ghost face. We welcome you back. It is an honour!!!

Don't listen or read and trust the positive reviews people are giving here. It is in no way an improvement over the last two sequels. Once you watch Resurrections, you will, by all means, consider the previous two sequels entertaining, if not worthy sequels. This film is so, so badly acted and directed that it is insurmountable. And what about the stakes that Matrix is known for. And not to mention the badly choreographed fight sequences. I mean the Matrix films are known to influence genres like action films, kung fu, cyber punk, etc. The first matrix had one of the most tightly knitted screenplay and how each frame meant something to service the entire plot. There is nothing here; honestly the trailer was much more entertaining than the actual film. It is just a laughably bad film. They should leave the franchise alone now. You want to see a better meta film with brilliantly handled legacy cast? Go watch Scream 2022 instead. Made at a modest budget than Resurrections, Scream is the way to handle an old franchise.

It is such as an underrated film of the year. It is beautifully shot. Set in 1968, it makes things feel more organic and tactile. The Halloween backdrop is marvelously done. You can experience the festivity as you watch it being celebrated on screen. Teens are believable and the settings are real. Horror plays out really well but not over the top. Movie is grim and a pleasure to watch at the same time. Characters are lovable. You care for them by the end of the movie and want them to come back. Very artistically handled and great direction. If you liked It, Stand by me, Goonies, then you would love this too.

For all the fans in India, please don't go by what dumb witted Anupama Chopra is saying. She needs to stop comparing these films with Bollywood directors. I am sure they don't even know who the hell Imitiyaz Ali is, let aside making his kind of films. Secondly, the whole point of Elementals was not to steal the juice from the main antagonist. I mean why would you want to steal the charm of having Mysterio away from a film. I never missed the elementals once we had Mysterio at his best. Not sure if you understood, but they were decoys. Besides, it was impressive how they pulled off Mysterio and the elementals. MCU handled it very cleverly and I would say even better than what they did in Iron Man 3.

It's not a bad movie at all. Yes, there are some cliched and weird choice of dialogues but a good slasher from the age of 'slasher' days back in the 90s. I enjoyed it.

What does this movie not have; a strong, humane emotional arc to the characters, slow burning first half that sort of turns into a catharsis towards the end, our heroes returning from the dead, time travel, humor, Captain America wielding the Mjolnir and that intense and goosebump worthy fan service. After spending ten years with these characters, you only realize with AE that somethings are worth your time and money. Stop nitpicking people. If you think Avatar was worthy of the place it is sitting at right now, this one is miles and miles ahead of that. Russo Brothers have shown how much they care for fans and their patience.

Good series and great cast. Been watching the encore episodes on Disney International for while and it’s entertaining
