I just finished Lee Min Ho and Kim Rae Won's 2015 kdrama!!! 🥰
My rating: 9.8/10- Grand standing, Standing Ovation. Totally one of the best neo-noir movies I've watched. The movie just showed that Korean Gangs weren't a group that was to be underestimated.

Gangnam Blues will definitely be one of my favorite gangster neo-noir movies and stories alongside Heartless City, Inside Men, The Godfather (Hollywood), The Worst of Evil, Donnie Brasco, A Bittersweet Life, and Night In Paradise!
Anyway, I've told you the kind of movie Gangnam Blues was, so, I hope those who would read this know now what to expect. Gangnam Blues/1970 is a very mature show. It isn't for people with weak stomach for violence.
Pretty sure, some fans of Lee Min Ho who's used seeing him in romcoms will have a difficult time watching this drama.
Well, I'm a fan of neo-noir. As a fan of Neo-noir, I always have my standard. They need to have extreme grit, doesn't shy away from violence and gore, shows enough action, and in the end, finishes of with a proper punishment for all the sins they've commited while doing their crime.
What I loved about Gangnam 1970/Gangnam Blues was that, I felt the friendship of Jong Dae and Yong Sik in this story. I sympathized with their characters, too. They're neither good or evil, they were just caught up with the kind of life thrown to them. Lastly, it has that satisfactory aura of darkness and sadness I usually look for when watching neo-noir.
Also, the OST caught me off guard. Shocked me when 'Anak' played in the background. Even so, I can pretty much understand why they used that song for this movie. The song explored the choices of men and when their lives suddenly go wrong...
