The movie started out very strong with a good initial storyline and raising the very concerning matters and issues related to legal guardianship and the everday real life scenarios of wards being taken advantage of and controlled by unscrupolous legal court appointed guardians.
Unfortunately by mid way into the movie instead of expanding more into this complex issue where legal tussles ,thriller and suspense could have made this an excellent film the story direction turns sour where Marla survives being killed by the Russian mafia, finds them by tracing a simple licence plate and then miraculously single handily takes out his bodyguards and outsmarts the boss man himself only for them to both decide to go into "business" together. How unlikely! Nonetheless all the actors were brilliant and the end message was indeed though provoking.
