Ok so I'm a big fan of Star Trek in this order: DS9, Next Generations, TOS, Voyager, Enterprise, Lower Decks. This show has amazing visualizations and great makeup however what I have noticed from completing season 2 is that the writing doesn't connect the watcher with the characters. They don't have a really good storyline yet. I am hopeful however we connected with characters like Picard, Sisko, Warf, etc etc and the actors because the writing was so good and the stories delivered each week we're amazing. I can barely remember any of the episodes from season 1 of Star Trek Discovery. Please don't attempt to reinvent the wheel just better it, go back in reference to the things that made Star Trek, Star Trek.
