Moving and haunting. From the inscrutable lead detective to the mystical Welsh land and the pitch perfect direction and cinematography, Hinterland is a mesmerizing and engrossing experience. Don't know what is better, the visual beauty, surprising twists and turns or the not always likable but ultimately sympathetic characters on the detective squad. Hinterland leaves a hole in ypur heart when the final credits run and there's nothing left to see.
