Big Nate the TV show is pretty funny, and good quality. I liked the books. There’s one problem. The show and the books are not compared one single bit. The Big Nate show elated itself to be a kids show that aired on Nickelodeon. BUT WHY is this show for kids??? There’s X-RATED scenes you will see when watching this show.
In one Big Nate short, Nate’s father, Martin puts a bongo drum on Nate’s butt and starts pounding on it to get him to sleep. Then it all goes to Nate suddenly singing about buttcheeks and slapping on peoples butts in which they are shown as the style of real life.
In another Big Nate short, Nate tells Francis to do a sit-up. When Francis is about to finish it, he finds his nose stuck in Nate’s buttcrack and Nate starts farting with Francis suprisingly laughing. If I were Francis at that time, I’d tell Nate to back off.
In Valentine’s Day of Horror (a big nate episode), someone orders poisonous pizza to the school! One scene two rats start eating a box and they start exploding. When the kids eat it, they are visually vomitting everywhere. SERIOUSLY, there is visual vomit and people actually vomitting. YOUR KIDS ARE WATCHING 🤢🤮.Do you guys at Nickelodeon expect kids to enjoy this???
In The Pimple, you will see people touching Nate’s “lucky zit” pimple the size of a fricking baseball. At the end, Nate’s older sister Ellen is seen popping Nate’s pimple with her bare fingers. Oh, and Dee Dee seems to have an obsession with lesbian couples. When Dee Dee finds out that her favorite substitute teacher (which is a female) has a WIFE (another female), she starts happily sliding on RAINBOWS. (That was a terrible pun.)
In Randy’s Mom has Got It Going, there is a scene where Martin and Randy’s mom are having a sexual discussion. “yOU’re tHe FuNny OnE.” “nO, yoU’re THe fuNNY oNE.”
In The Big Freeze, Spitsy the fricking dog is one of the judges of a big snow sculpture competition. When he sees the PS 38 snow sculpture, he starts visually peeing in both directions. They should censor that.
In six-tween candles, Dee Dee falls in love with a disabled female, forming another lesbian couple. Does this show actually represent LGBTQ+?
Next, the stereotypes. in Best Laid Cell Pains, they show 8th graders as total phone addicts. And I already mentioned LGBTQ+.
The animators animate cats as uncanny, unloving, selfish animals! I thought cats were friendly loving pets! But NO. In the show, the want to escape their owners, they want to talk ias if they were robots in disguise.
And then there are the characters. Basically the teachers.
Mr. Galvin should already be in heaven. It looked liked he was alive during the Dark Ages due to his shivering voice. I mean hey, Teddy portrayed him as a skeleton who poops dust.
Ms. Godfrey is a wilderness monkey who “survived the Titanic.” She gave Nate a detention because he only volunteered to feed Mr. Galvin’s class pet. She is also friends with an eagle.
Principal Nicholas is a terrible principal. He is always over dramatic about everything.
And the animation style is HORRIFIC! It looks like the creators did it 12 frames per second! This shows that the creators were too lazy to do 30 frames per seconds at least! I’ve seen better 3D shows created by Nickelodeon.
Lincoln Pierce, the original creator of Big Nate won’t be happy with this show a.k.a cash grab!!!
In conclusion, the characters, animation style, and episodes are awful. This shouldn’t be watched by ages at least under 5.
Viewer discretion is advised.
