This book is a great start on using leaves to create animals and creatures of your imagination. I used it with 3-5 year olds in a parent-child program where the child came up with the subject. The parent was the helper to glue the leaves to make their child's design. It was an amazing challenge but well worth it. I loved the ginko leaves which I found in the parking lot, growing in the median strips. They were a beautiful gold and later changed to orange. The leaves can be purchased, but I pressed them in newsprint and put them in a phone book. They dried quickly and I took them with the newsprint and kept them in shirt size box until they were needed. I had fun making the sample fish and some other animals.
