The 25th official Bond film and the fifth film with Daniel Craig as James Bond. For you Bond fans get ready for a long ride when you’re dealing with the running time of 2 hours and 44 minutes(so far the longest James Bond film ever made).
It has all of the elements of what you would expect from a Bond film: fast action chase scenes with death defying stunts, wild gadgetry from Bond’s favorite luxury sports car - the Aston Martin, fast paced shoot outs,Bond wearing the perfectly tailored tuxedo to show off his debonair self, beautiful women, exotic locations, intriguing plot twists and of course drinking his most favorite beverage - medium dry martini shaken not stirred, but no gambling in this one( that was brilliantly displayed in Daniel Craig’s first - Casino Royals).
I have to admit that the one thing lacking in this Bond movie is a strong or interesting villain.
Although academy award winner Rami Malek gives an effort in playing the heavy in this one, he lacks a convincingly strong and threatening appearance who’s about to achieve world dominance with this new technology of a chemical biotech substance, representing the absolute threatening sign of the current times. Meanwhile the romance works for Bond while he continues his relationship with ms. Madeleine Swan, from the previous film, Spectre. Surprisingly in the plot of having a past connection with the villain, Rafin.
Not to give away any clues of the ending but this Bond film definitely appears to be Daniel Craig’s last. And who knows what will be the next Bond story. It is time to pick a new blood for a newer Bond along with a fresher story.
