Scott Doggs

This movie was patently unenjoyable. The characters never really show any depth, the plot is extremely formulaic, even for a Christmas offering, and the inevitably obvious ending doesn't really leave you feeling satisfied. Spoiler alert I suppose, but the treatment of Kristen Stewart's character is awful almost entirely throughout, and the resolution at the end feels forced and contrite. I absolutely love Dan Levy from his work on Schitt's Creek, and I will watch anything Aubrey Plaza is involved in, but they both seem wasted in their roles. Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this one.

I had high hopes for a film like this, but ultimately, it was a let down. The characters never really get to a point where you care about them, the plot is ridiculously obvious from the get go and the action sequences are mildly interesting, but overall, not very good.
