The 1960s create a great atmosphere and time period for this to start. The set design is amazing, which many feeling so atmospheric they could have come straight from the book aka the hidden stairwell scene. The sounds of the movie and the pacing of sounds are perfect and creepy. The characters are great with an amazing wraparound story that does not even require the books material and the book material is just the icing on the cake. Think of the new Stephen King's It movies, same feel and vibe with equal scares and fun
