Thank you for your wonderful NewsHour. Under Judy's leadership, all the news analysts are well informed and articulate. The new Arts segments, such as Canvas and the Book talks, delightfully lighten our heavy, confounding life in today's America. I so appreciate your reading of sections of the Mueller Report this week. It's critical to get this information to the public, and I love the presentation based on the old "reading the news" style. And I always look forward to the analyses of Politics Monday and Friday's Shields and Brooks. I think of all the NewsHour reporters as dependably intelligent friends.
I'm imagining that having to face and present the news these days is emotionally draining for all of you. As an engaged citizen, having to read and listen to it certainly is discouraging, so I especially appreciate your program's diversity of broadcasters and topics. You lighten and ease my days. Thank you.
