0/10 This is the worst live adaptation remake I have ever seen that Disney has made and its not about Mushu being in the movie, its not about not having Shang or the loveable trio we all loved growing up with their amazing personality that stands out from one another and its not the grandma being there and replacing her with an forgettable character which is Mulan's sister. ... it was the decision making of the movie to be serious to adults who grew up watching and experiencing to Mulan's but was serious for seven years old, but the most dissapointing thing is representing equality and that women are capable to stand tall as or higher than men if you put in the effort and dedication and not relying on powers such as chi (or ki) or being naturally taleneted or gifted to fight or led the people. I don't know why people assumes that Mulan 2020 is the movie that will inspire a lot of little girls especially to all the women in China who needed someone or something to help them of taken thei role of being a female and Mulan 2020 failed to do so. Apparently the movie's message is being naturally gifted or the chosen women who are blessed with unrivaled strengths means only those could stand against men but in the ORIGINAL AND ONLY MOVIE THAT DISPLAYED EQUALITY, BRAVERY AND DEDICATED PEOPLE NO MATTER THE RACE OR GENDER shows that anyone could stand and fight alongside with the strongest. This isn't the movie that little girls, abused women or anyone who feels left out in the world where the specific traits of expectation that people need for a job or fighting for whats right; should watch. This isn't the movie that brings the same message that the Original Mulan did, this isn't the movie that not only inspires me but everyone whether its a child, adult or elderly who watched this movie, its just a pile of garbage that wasn't treated with love when making that brings out joy and love when first watching this failed movie. I just want Disney to stop making live adaptation remakes of beloved movies we all grow up with and leave it as the way it is but we can't have it because Disney wanted only the money and won't learn the mistakes that the company will continue. I hope this review manage to open the minds that is the people who blindly watched this film believing this is a cinematic masterpiece and see it to be a cash and grab movie for nostalgia.
