Never played the games but knew the premise, thought it was good. I give it max score on the grounds that it's a video game movie that does a good enough job at what it set out to be, which historically has not been the case until recently.

Very good in my opinion, the monsters all feel like characters and they are used ple type which isn't a bad thing when they are meant to be humanized more akin to what the older films did. It had plenty of cool action and some characters while cartoony were fun to see and other actors did fantastic. Highly reccomend it.
