A genuinely great film. As an autistic I always cringe a little with any film depiction of us as, invariably it's monodimensional or straight up wrong. There's something very aardman about the animation that I loved straight away. So much of Max is so absolutely on the money in ways only an autistic would get "I don't show emotion, but i feel it on the inside" all that aside it's a lovely, sometimes tragic, but heartwarming film about two misfits becoming friends half a world apart. I can't help feeling Barry Humphreys was trying to be Stephen Fry in the style of his narration though.
