It is a fallacy to state that there are no bad people, just people who sometimes do bad things. This idea doesn’t just add a “nuanced perspective” to judging human beings based on their behavioral choices, it also negates that there is actual evil in the world & that there are people who revel in being bad! No one should ever subject themselves to a relationship with a violent, abusive partner who promises to do better: They never will.
