I was so frustrated with watching her play the victim over and over while she turned down help again and again. Then her character pompously acts like she can save her deranged, dangerous mother. It’s a sham of self righteousness to drag your baby girl out in the middle of the night (repeatedly) when thinking through options and seeking help are clearly the only logical path. It’s annoying in the extreme to see such a character made out to be a heroine when she makes one bad decision after another. There is nothing that feels real about it. Anyone not hallucinating would make better choices. I watched through to the agonizing end, and am sorry I did. Netflix, try to produce more authentic stories of those who can demonstrate reasonably good judgment that leads to raising themselves from such dire circumstances. The protagonist repeats bad mistakes, often dangerous ones, throughout the series. It lacks all credibility that she could succeed in life based on what is shown in this series.
