Absolutely masterful, definitely one of my new favorite games of all time. Everything about it is practically flawless: great level design, great enemy design, great music, great map system, super badass bosses, super cool stealth sections, and tons of neat little secrets: A perfect end to the first saga of Metroid.

Legendary, easily one of the best games I have ever played, and arguably my favorite rouglelike game. Risk of Rain 2 has some of the most immaculate, fun, and unique gameplay out there, not to mention the fantastic music, great art style, a quite frankly badass final boss, a fun and diverse cast of characters to play as, and some pretty underrated lore. You may be made anxious by the time mechanic at first, but trust me, it’s pretty easy to get used to. 10/10, please pick it up if you are even a little interested in it. After jumping in a couple times, you won’t want to leave Petrichor 5 (name of the main setting btw).

Very, very good. Incredible visuals, great combat (infinitely better than the original), and a simple but heart felt story. I had a great time with this game. I personally don’t see it as a 10/10 (probably a 9) since it overall doesn’t go as above and beyond as games such as Hollow Knight, resulting in me not coming back to it nearly as much; however, if you’re looking for an accessible, fun, and emotional romp of a game, this one is for you!

11/10, my favorite game ever made: I love everything about it from the incredible atmosphere, fun and fair combat, great and ever-changing level design, legendary music, enjoyable NPCs, as well as very interesting and well developed lore (all of which I could go on and on about for ages). If you are even slightly interested in this game, please pick it up. If $15 dollars worth of hours upon hours of nigh-perfect content isn’t a steal to me, I don’t know what is. Though I will say, the less skilled of gamers may not like it: let’s just say that Hollow Knight can get pretty hard and it can take a little bit to get over the initial learning curve (I would know). But aside from that (and the endgame) it isn’t too difficult, and again, not in an unfair way.
