The story is extremely relevant.. especially when India is facing such a strong cultural lag.
But,I have my own reservation while judging the technical aspect of the movie. The movie at the end becomes a kichdi of social problem, crime thriller , botched up system etc yet not throwing adequate light on anything deeply. For instance, no investigation can be complete ( especially when you are referring to the crime scene) without a forensic team after the incident. But here the hero just by looking at the minor blood stain in a bus concluded that it was of the victim.
Everyone justified there character perfectly except ayushman khurana. The character itself was unclear weather the IPS officer was doing his duty for it's sake or he is just following his lost consciousness awakened by his social activist wife (certainly, in real life an IPS is very clear about his/her line of duty). In terms of justifying the role, I do feel he is far from that ... Especially, when u have a strong IPS character of Ajay devgan in gangajal.
But, like I said the story is extremely relevant and credit must be given to the team to come up with such sensitive concept...but do that sensitivity needed a rap number for a conclusion? Ahh well!! It's a discussion of other day
