A truly enjoyable and must see show... superb in every way. Perfect individual character performances of some very "imperfect" characters. Penny Dreadful has everything, but never too much of anything. The story and characters are multi-layered but, they never leave you "lost". It's so satisfying to find a show that is so well conceived, developed and presented.. the only down side is trying to find the next show to devote your time to. A show that is not slickly done, glossed over... and one that doesn't insult your intelligence. Penny Dreadful's first (3) season's are a tough act to follow. I can only hope "PD: City of Angels" can come close to Penny Seasons 1-3.
