I put off watching Nurse Jackie for the longest time because I didn't think I could enjoy a show about a nurse who is addicted to pills. I was wrong. Great characters and situations. Often deeply funny. I loathed and loved Jackie. She was a habitual liar who could be exceptionally cruel in order to get what she wanted. On the other hand, it was heartwarming to watch her go to the ends of the earth for her patients.
