I’m on episode six, but I had to stop and review. This is the first Korean drama I’ve been addicted to. Itaewon Class has a perfectly balanced mix of emotion, humor, heart and visuals. The show gives what could’ve been stock characters (annoying rich son, honorable poor son, smart and wacky young girl, etc.) lots of screen time to be messy and figure out their lives and experience pain. The actors really make the stories come alive. Also, I love the inclusion of a gender nonconforming character and Afro-Korean character.
