It’s sci-fi for people who don’t like sci-fi. This show felt like a space drama written and produced by a group of teens as a senior project. I liked plenty about the show, but it’s very hard to suspend disbelief and become immersed in a show that doesn’t take itself seriously. I love some of the actors and feel really let down by the mix of poor and emotionless acting and the horrible character development. The thing that gave me the most enjoyment was reading all of the long winded comments from people who enjoyed the show whining harder than the characters did constantly, and that’s impressive. The costumes were poorly designed, camera felt like a 4k handicam, and the cgi could have used some extra budgeting. Netflix has plenty of better sci-fi options that I would say are more worth your time. Give it a shot Incase you can enjoy it despite its short comings, but I can’t look past how poorly done this is.
