If someone were to mention the name ‘Ben Platt,‘ my ears may had perked because I recently watched ‘The Politician’ on Netflix...brilliant work; however, he is not the kind of person that I would normally jump and down in passing conversation. No offense as I did not see Dear Evan Hansen. It’s incredible how 30 seconds into Ben Platt’s Radio City Music Special took me from mediocre fan to “where do I sign up to become a Platt-inum Fan club member?” After watching and re-watching...and rewatching this special, I sobbed at certain parts. I can’t explain it. He just spoke to my soul and it was incredible and moving. You believe you are watching a Broadway actor turned solo vocalist. Mr Platt is a man with this gift of kind wisdom celebrating his humanity with the world. He just puts it all out there holding nothing back. Even now, I am still speechless after re-watching it.
