Really enjoyed this film! I’ve been to Ethiopia and therefore it really meant more. Amazing and inspiring story as it seems present day Israel is not as generous. The current political agenda is to get rid of ‘migrants’ and non white jews. So perhaps this film could be shown to inspire greater humanity there. We have such negative news everyday that we forget about human courage, care, selflessness and sheer determination which the team in real life of this film demonstrates. We will see far more migration in the next few years, especially climate migration. Chris Evans really shines in this movie! To the comment below from @zeradawit gobezbout about the appearance of KEBED.
There is tremendous racism within Ethiopian society against other Black Africans and non Ethiopians in general - this has to be said. Don’t think it’s known that well!
The actor Michael Kenneth Williams who plays KEBED is an outstanding and brilliant actor, in this movie and that’s what matters, not what shade he is or he doesn’t ‘look’ Ethiopian, or whatever nonsense that means.
