I thought this was a cute high school movie about girl power and I like the writer a lot. At the same time, and I’ll preface that I’m a youngish white woman, I don’t understand that a white woman was “in charge of the revolution” and a ton of women, 99% are women of color and really believe that she is going to change much. While we can help, I just find it weird that a young white blonde woman is really an outcast and leading the change. Might be a “beginning” I guess, but I just don’t find it as empowering because I still don’t find it equal.
