This movie, from what I've read, has been a top grossing box office movie world wide. After watching it last night I've gotta say I can't really figure out why. Now I'm not saying it's a bad movie, but they really went over the top covering all of the disaster movie cliches - both story-wise and visually - and there's really nothing new going on here that we haven't seen already. As far as the cgi, it is everywhere from bad to just ok, and again we've seen all of this stuff before. In a nutshell, this movie, while entertaining, just doesn't live up to the hype.
