I found “Challengers” to be a movie that leaves many questions unanswered. It ends without resolving any of its storylines, which left me feeling unsatisfied.
On the positive side, the film made tennis exciting, even for someone like me who doesn’t know much about the sport. There were some moments that felt quite intense. The relationships in the movie are portrayed as immature fantasies, which I found somewhat appealing.
The performances, especially by Zendaya, were strong. However, while the story started off intriguing, it didn’t hold up till the disappointing end. The characters lacked development and came across as unlikable.
The soundtrack was great, but the film itself felt slow and confusing at times due to frequent jumps in time. Some scenes felt unnecessary and could have been cut to shorten the runtime without losing the plot.
The cinematography was impressive, especially the final match scene, which was intense and visually striking. The movie combined present-day scenes with past events effectively, adding excitement to the climax.
Even though I’m not a big sports movie fan, “Challengers” focused more on the characters and their passions, making it more engaging for me. Overall, it’s an okay movie with some highlights but falls short in several areas.
