𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 is not your ordinary film. It operates much like a stage play, giving us one point of view on a place in many times, exploring the lifecycles of many families.
While there were many elements I admired and enjoyed, the main storyline (involving Hanks and Wright) didn’t quite pan out for me. I felt Wright’s character motivations were totally dismissed at the end of the film. What she wanted vs what her husband wanted—it didn’t matter. She effectively “lost.” It bummed me out.
