The movie is tense, sinister and threatening. Previously in Prometheus we saw the origins of the alien, and whilst exciting, this took away much of it's unknowable threat. Covenant reinjects the alpha predator with a new disquieting fear and mistique. The titular beast is only overshadowed by the return of Micheal Fasbender as David who gives a spectacular performance as the android now free of his creator. Visually stunning, Alien Covenant is an incredible entry into the franchise and should sit proudly next to it's forbears.
