Maybe only fans will understand the movies greatness. I for one have played the video game for years and I love the movie. The video game does not have a thorough backstory to make you fall in love with it. It is simple...man vs beast. The movie exemplifies just this. For those who have not played the game, you must change your mindset to fully understand that monster hunter is simply about killing monsters and saving humanity. They come wave after wave, there is no beginning or end. This movie did the game justice.
