it's an ok show, theres nothing wrong with it except the fact that its so/so. is this a story that needs to be told right now? i get that it focuses on feminism, the effects of gun violence/2nd amendment rights, socialism, depression/isolation and the human condition. but lord of the flies did that already and if they're "redoing it" they could have gone further with diversity. hell, even lotf had an overweight kid. ninety percent of the cast is white, cisgender, thin, and conventionally attractive. if you want a mind numbing, decently (but sometimes) over-acted and not believable series filled with shock value for the sake of it, then this is your show. hopefully netflix takes a chance on original and more interesting work in the future.
