Make no mistake. This is a wuxia movie. Great acting and action sequences. This is not a sequel or direct shot by shot of the 1996 original film. The subtle notes from Reflection are speckled throughout the film. My only wish is that the soundtrack can be better at creating the highs and lows of the emotions that Mulan is experiencing. A well made wuxia film or TV series would have a beautiful soundtrack, often with the main actors singing.
