Improved over season 1 and 2, but still nowhere near as good as Breaking Bad. Took way too long to get to Gus and Madrigal storyline, which is still missing way too many details, and way too much about Saul and girlfriend’s every (sometimes boring) moves.
Nice to see some real suspense again finally in season 5.
I’m still hoping to see the best season in 6, hoping for lots more Tuco, and winding in more Breaking Bad characters we’ve been missing. Would like to have seen a lot more about all those prior people who occasionally appeared and we wondered about, like Gretchen and husband, even prostitute Wendy, etc. Thank goodness they realized to expand the storyline after season 1, which might have been called ‘All About Saul,’ where Saul was in almost every scene, and even seemed out of breathe he had so many lines. They should have just picked up as many characters, big and small, as they could from Breaking Bad, and backed up to their lives a few years back, and stuck them into a big story, some with many scenes/episodes, some just an episode or so, like they did in Breaking Bad. I’d have been elated with every episode then, not just hoping for a real good one now and then.
